Note from the Artist: This piece is inspired by my time exploring Lower Antelope Canyon, where light and shadow carve ever-changing patterns into the canyon walls. I wanted to capture the quiet strength of that space—its contrast and stillness, its weight and flow. By layering textural fields of knotted cord and embroidery in sandstone tones, I built a rhythm of rises and pauses, echoing the natural geometry found within the canyon’s narrow passageways. This is the first piece in my body of work to include hand-embroidered details, adding another layer of texture, as every knot is a memory of this natural wonder.
